Exceptional Teaching Demonstrations
Six teaching demonstrations will focus on what effective teachers do to create extraordinary
results with their students--beginners to advanced, young children to adults. In these demonstrations,
both live and on videotape, you will observe exceptional teaching in action in a variety of ability levels
and lesson formats.
The live teaching demonstrations will include an early childhood class taught by Lorna Heyge, an intermediate private lesson taught by Elvina Pearce, coaching of an ensemble by Jean Barr, and Conference Artist Boris Berman teaching the MTNA 2005 collegiate piano auditions winner.
The videotape lessons will include an elementary group taught by Ted Cooper and a high school private lesson taught by Randall Faber.
